This hike is rated easy (3/5). Normally this river is pristine however, the day we hiked was the official start of the rainy season in Trinidad and Tobago. The rain fell the night before the hike into the early morning. We still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. One thing I would say though is that the journey back up is a little tough for those who are non-active but if you take your time you'll get through.
