Now sporting red wheels, and a smokebox number, No9 returned to traffic hauling a fully booked, Supporters Association Special, working 45 miles on its return.

The Railway was operating a revised 'Yellow Service' to cater for the 'Special' with Locos No6 'Samson' & No11 'Black Prince'.
