A boggart is a creature from folklore, most used a few centuries ago, and today, better known by other names including pixie, fairy, troll, Goblin and more.

Burnley seems to have its fair share of Boggart tales of the past, but one once terrified the locals at a bridge in Towneley Park, refusing travellers access unless they gave it a gift.

Today the bridge is still known as Boggart Bridge, and this is the story of how the local people got their revenge on it.......
