OPEN ME FOR MORE INFORMATION...

Hello All!

This series started out as a "Christmas in July" series (although it has stretched into October now!). This video is a showcase of my 16 gnome designs (divided into three categoris). In addition, I discuss my pricing of the gnomes for holiday craft fairs.

LIST OF MATERIALS TO MAKE THE GNOME:

-- WINE BOTTLE: 750mL, with a height of less than 12 inches and a circumference of 10.25 inches or less. (I raid the glass recycling bins in our neighborhood for empty wine bottles when my neighbors set them out to be picked up the next morning!)
-- FABRIC FOR BODY: 10.5" wide by 9"high, in your choice of fabric. I use Super Snuggle Flannel at Joann's. (Please note: One yard of fabric will yield 16 gnomes!)
-- FAUX FUR FOR BEARD: 4" wide by 5" high. (WARNING ... If you have not worked with fur fabric before, then DO NOT CUT THIS FUR until you watch my tutorial on making the beard.)
-- WOOD KNOB OR BALL FOR NOSE: 1" round. (https://tinyurl.com/wood-knobs-for-gn...)
-- CRAFT FELT FOR HAT, and TOP AND BOTTOM OF WINE BOTTLE: 16" wide by 9" high, in color of your choice. The heavier craft fabric on the bolt at Joann's is best.
-- YARN FOR STITCHING AROUND HAT: 2 yards in color of your choice.
-- STUFFING FOR HAT: Polyfil (from Joann's or another craft store) or cotton balls.
-- PATTERN HANDOUT FOR HAT: Printable 6-page handout on my Etsy web site (tinyurl.com/etsy-handout-for-gnome)
-- EMBELLISHMENTS FOR HAT:
-- 3/4" jingle bells (https://tinyurl.com/jingle-bells-for-...)
-- 2" snowflakes (Dollar Tree - available during the pre-Christmas season)
-- small snowflakes (https://tinyurl.com/gnome-resin-snowf...)
-- 6mm flat-back gems (https://tinyurl.com/6mm-gems-for-gnom...)
-- white glitter (https://tinyurl.com/gnome-white-glitt...)
-- Elmer's spray adhesive (https://tinyurl.com/elmers-spray-adhe...)
