In this week’s video we are preparing something sweet and delicious out on the Pit Boss Smoker.

This is our recipe that won 3rd Place at a Bacon Bash Competition that took place in Texas. We went up against some really great teams and ended up hearing our name called at the end of the day. This recipe is very easy to put together and I wanted to share it with y’all.

We chose the name "Pig Fries" because they are packed with bacon and look like a french fry. The name seems fitting, but feel free to call them whatever you want.

We served them in waffle cones dipped in chocolate to make for a cool way to serve them up to the judges. Try these for a dessert next time you have people over and I guarantee you they will be a hit!

Cook Temp: 350°
Cook Time: 20 - 30 minutes

What you need:
1 pie crust
1 cup crispy bacon (divided)
1/2 cup Nutella
1/2 Tablespoon peanut butter
Melted Butter
Sugar
Cinnamon
Caramel Syrup
Chopped Honey Roasted Peanuts

Start by mixing your Nutella, peanut butter, and 1/2 cup of crumbled bacon. Set that mixture aside. Roll out your pie crust brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Next spread the Nutella mixture thinly over the pie crust making sure to spread all the way to the edges, you just want a thin layer. Now sprinkle 1/4 cup of bacon onto the Nutella and fold the pie crust in half, pressing it together. Next take a pizza cutter and cut the pie crust into “French Fries”, brush the top with butter and sprinkle a little more sugar and cinnamon. Now place them on a greased cookie sheet and into the smoker. Cook at 350* about 20-30 minutes rotating the pan as needed to get an even cook. Once the tops start to brown and the pie crust in getting crispy pull them off and let them cool.
To finish them off drizzle with caramel, add a little more bacon, and the chopped nuts. Either serve in waffle cones as you see in the thumbnail or just put onto a plate. Serve with a caramel dipping sauce or just eat as is.
