I recorded multiple hours of footage of me talking about and testing each of the things I bought at VCFSW this year. I also briefly mention some things at the beginning, both related and unrelated, that I bought in the DFW area while I was staying down there for the convention.

I think I covered everything I wanted to in the video this time, but I do want to talk about the hard drive situation on the Deskpro. For some reason, the motherboard is extremely picky with hard drives, and I merely got lucky that the 420 MB Seagate Medalist I tried first actually ended up working. The other, older Medalist also works and the Maxtor 7245AT works, but the Caviar 2340 never gets detected and the Conner CFS420A works extremely slowly, as if there's some sort of termination problem or something. Surprisingly, however, the motherboard does support LBA to a pretty impressive degree. A 1 GB Quantum Fireball and a 2 GB Caviar both worked completely without issue.

I eventually bit the bullet and ordered a Compaq Advanced VGA card when I saw one go up for about $80. I decided that the Deskpro was worth that to me. It really is a nice system.
