*CORRECTION: I did the math, and actually, I spent around R$ 8,500.00 throughout the whole process. Sorry for the confusion, I mentioned what I thought was the total amount based on my perception, which was quite wrong.*

Hello! I hope this video helps you understand the process for obtaining Italian citizenship through the Italian consulate (I did it through the Osaka consulate in Japan, as a resident of Japan).

Below are the links I mention in the video:

Link to get the MINHA SAGA e-book where I found the email template to request the documents of my Italian ancestor from the communes to be sent to me in Brazil https://minhasaga.org/materiais-gratu...

Website where I discovered the city in Italy where my great-grandfather was from https://www.familysearch.org/en/

Italian consulate website in São Paulo, where I consulted the information I needed https://conssanpaolo.esteri.it/pt/ser...

Website to obtain the negative certificate of naturalization of the Italian ancestor: https://deest.mj.gov.br/ecertidao/abr...

Contact information for the Public Archive of the State of São Paulo to request the landing certificate of the Italian ancestor in São Paulo: Tel: (11) 2868-4500 / Email: [email protected] / Address: Rua Voluntários da Pátria, 596 - (next to Tietê metro station) / Website: http://www.arquivoestado.sp.gov.br/me...

Remember to check that all names on the documents are correct before requesting updated copies. ALL DOCUMENTS need to be FULLY UPDATED, have SWORN TRANSLATIONS, and both original documents and translations need to be APOSTILLED.
