奥嵯峨の後、愛宕念仏寺（おたぎねんぶつじ）の撮影を行いました。
京都市内から見れば嵯峨野の最果てですが、念仏寺のHPでは嵯峨野観光のスタート地点とあります。確かに、ここから坂道を下りながら渡月橋あたりまで行く方が疲れなくて合理的かもしれません。
数奇な運命のお寺のようです。
もとは東山の地に奈良時代に建てられた古刹。平安初期に鴨川の洪水で堂宇が流失。天台の僧「千観内供」が再興し、本堂は鎌倉中期の建立で重文。大正時代に奥嵯峨の地に移築された。境内には参拝者の手によって彫られた、1,200躰の石造の羅漢さんが並んでいる。
アニメ「るのうに剣心」にも登場しアニメの聖地になっている。

After Okusaga, I took a picture of Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple.
Seen from Kyoto city, it is the end of Sagano, but on the website of Nenbutsuji Temple, it is the starting point for sightseeing in Sagano. It may be more rational to go down the slope from here to Togetsu Bridge.
It's like a temple of strange fate.
Originally an old temple built in the Nara period in the land of Higashiyama. Dou was washed away by the flood of Kamogawa in the early Heian period. The Tendai monk "Senkan Uchiyo" was revived, and the main hall was built in the middle of Kamakura and was designated as an Important Cultural Property. It was relocated to the land of Okusaga in the Taisho era. The precincts are lined with 1,200 stone Arhats carved by worshipers.
It also appeared in the anime "Rurouni Kenshin" and has become a sacred place for anime
