This video is a demonstration of the Grignard lab to transform bromobenzene to benzoic acid. I run into some unexpected issues in this experiment, but I was able to troubleshoot to successfully obtain pure benzoic acid. Chemistry can be challenging but there is almost always a way to navigate through the chaos. Everything was recorded at Indiana University Bloomington. This video is for educational purposes only.
