Columbia City recently got the 4th generation passenger information signs installed and is now the first station to use them in service! T Line has these at every station but they do not show any updating information and are mostly static.

This video shows what it looks like, and how they display station announcements. So far, these are the best signs we have.


Here’s a rundown of all our station signs right now: (August 6th 2024)
Angle Lake to Tukwila International Boulevard: 1st generation
Rainier Beach to Pioneer Square: 4th generation
University Street: 1st generation
Westlake to University of Washington: 4th generation
U District & Roosevelt: 3rd generation
Northgate: 1st generation (only in the middle of the platform instead of on both sides)
All future stations: 4th generation
All T Line stations: 4th generation (different info)
