Hello everyone! In today's video, I'm introducing for the first time on this channel the Amador Causeway, one of the favorite tourist spots in Panama City. This incredible place, built in 1913 with rocks excavated from the Culebra Cut during the construction of the Panama Canal, is a historical testament and an engineering marvel.

The Amador Causeway connects Panama City with four picturesque islands: Naos, Perico, Culebra, and Flamenco. Each of these islands has its own charm and offers a variety of activities and spectacular views.

Originally, this site was part of a U.S. military complex known as "Fort Amador." This fort was established to protect the entrance to the Panama Canal. Today, you can still see some of the remnants of the military installations on these islands, adding a fascinating historical element to your visit.

In addition to its historical richness, the Amador Causeway is a perfect place to enjoy recreational activities. Here you can find restaurants, shops, and spaces for sports such as cycling and jogging, all accompanied by stunning views of the sea and the city. In the video, I'll also show you how the Causeway easily connects with Panama City, making this journey a pleasant experience on a beautiful afternoon.

Join me on this tour to discover more about the history, the impressive views, and the activities that make the Amador Causeway an unmissable destination in Panama. Let's explore it together!

Enjoy the drive!

Hi there! New to THE LONE EXPLORER channel? If so, here's what you need to know -- I like to explore cities and towns walking, in bicycle, by motorcycle and driving my car a LOT, so I use this channel to explore urban and countryside of Panama. (Eventually other places of the world).
The channel serves as a town guide as well and I'm pleased if it will help everyone travel in Panama.

I hope you enjoy it!
