On April 24, 2016, the Transitway between Laurier and Lees Station closed down for LRT conversion. Various detour routing were implemented, depending on the bus route.

This particular detour seen on this video is applicable to Route 8, 40, 86, 87, 92, 96, as well as Route 97 before 10pm, travelling between MacKenzie King Bridge and Hurdman Station via Nicholas (with the starting/ending point of the video being Lycee Claudel).

Mitigation Measures implemented:
Conversion of right-lane on Nicholas northbound to a bus-only lane to Laurier Avenue
Conversion of right-lane on Nicholas southbound to a bus-only lane after the south-to-west on-ramp to Hwy 417 west
