Nebbi Catholic Diocese requires at least 3.8 bn/= to organize the 2024 National Martyrs' Day celebrations at Namugomgo. The Episcopal conference of Uganda selected Nebbi Catholic Diocese to animate the celebrations for a second time in 16 years.
In 2007, the Diocese took charge of the Martyrs' Day celebrations for the first time, following its separation from the Arua Diocese.
