The aircraft, operating flight AZ1670 from Pisa (LIRP) to Roma Fiumicino (LIRF) with 4 crew members and 46 passengers on board, after trying to land at runway 16L, stopped at a distance of about 1800 m from the runway threshold, on a grassy strip close to DE taxiway. The plane reported extensive damage to the structure, while some of the occupants were transferred to medical facilities outside the airport.
