5 Rare films with some cool dance moves from the 1920s - the Black Bottom, Waltz, Salsa, Charleston and Foxtrot - popular dance styles in the Jazz Age. The roaring twenties! The age of the flapper!

The Black Bottom - became popular in the 1920s, which could be danced solo or as a couple, or, as in this case, in a group.

Waltz - The waltz actually goes back to around 1770, but enjoyed a renewed period of popularity in the 1920's.

Salsa - The salsa originated in New York but has clear influences from Latin America, incorporating dance styles from Cuba, Colombia and Puerto Rico.

The Charleston is named after Charleston, South Carolina. The rhythm craze was started by a broadway show tune called The Charleston.

The Foxtrot - you'll note the smoothness of this dance. Usually danced to big band music. It is similar to the waltz, except in a 4
4 time signature. Originated in the 1910s, but was most popular in the 1930s.
