The decision by the US House of Representatives to pass a version of the new farm bill which excludes the food assistance stamp program used by 48 million Americans, caused quite the concern across the nation last month The food stamp program is the largest domestic safety net against hunger in the US. So unless a compromise is reached with the Senate by September, it will mean that a lot of people, will find it difficult to provide meals at the dinner table.
