Hey there, adventurer! Get ready to join me as we head out from the Red Stag hut and head to the Godley glacier lake!

You're in for a real treat as this track is an absolute classic, and one of the few places in New Zealand where you can drive up to a glacier lake. It's simply outstanding, and the scenery will blow you away. Trust me, it's worth including this on your route if you want to experience some jaw-dropping views.

Since New Zealand is similar to Tasmania and especially the South Island being a 4WD paradise, there are tracks for every skill level.

But don't underestimate this track as it's a grade 5 due to its changeable nature, becoming extremely challenging at times. The weather in this area can turn quickly, so drivers need to be skilled to exit quickly if a front pushes in.

Now, am I up for the challenge? Is my cruiser as good as Ronny Dahl's? Can I conquer this track, or do I chicken out?

After we've taken in the awe-inspiring sights at the glacier lake, we'll head out of Godley valley and make our way to Lake Pukaki. We'll find an absolute killer stealth campsite, but we might have a bit of a stormy night. No worries, though, we'll make the most of it and have a great time anyway!
