Back from being away!

In this video, I'm taking you along for a ride on the Betuweroute. This stretch runs from the Botlek yard in Rotterdam, to the Central Exchange Point (CUP) in Valburg. Here my train is handed over to my colleague, who will continue towards Aschaffenburg in Germany. Another driver will then take over the train again, towards the final destination: Vienna, Austria.

The trip starts in nice evening sunshine, but as darkness starts to set in, so do the clouds. Eventually we also encounter some lightning in the distance.
