The USSR was known for its colossal buildings and numerous public projects like road networks and high rises, summer camps and city malls, parks and playgrounds. Many of those fell into disrepair by the 80's, many more were abandoned in the 90's. The Soviet Union fell 30 years ago. They say that hope for a brighter future died with it.
