Surfaces can be used to define faces of a part, as a splitting tool, or as construction geometry to match position, curvature, or tangency.
Carefully layout sketches, images, and other surfaces when starting a model to identify where important surfaces and curves need to be defined.
Break down the part geometry into manageable sections, including modeling half or a quarter of a model when creating symmetric parts.
Constrain underlying curves to match the same constraints as the surface.
