A lot of gas expands inside this explosion and a force is applied on the piston due to which the piston goes down and power is applied on the crankshaft.
In a four stroke engine, when the crankshaft rotates twice, we get a power stroke and in a 4 cylinder engine, the power stroke is available in one or the other cylinder at any time, which means that when the crankshaft rotates 180 degrees, a power stroke is generated.

When the fuel burns, the exhaust wall opens and the burnt gasses are thrown out.
These burnt gasses go to the silencer
These glasses are very harmful, So before releasing these gasses into the environment, they are sent to the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter converts these gasses into less harmful glasses.
From here the gas goes near the silencer or muffler and the muffler itself tunes the noise of the engine.
