Girlfriend and I recently had a music festival in Quincy WA. Also known as The Gorge Amphitheatre. Its a beautiful venue with spectacular views of a massive gorge and more!

While attending the music festival, we saw off in the distance a helicopter that kept coming and going. We decided to check it out. Although taking a little bit of hunting to actually find how to get to them, when eventually did.

Once arrived, we were greeted by the crew of Atomic Helicopters. First off, very friendly staff and there was NO LINE! We asked how much for a flight. They said $100 per person! We jumped for it and got on the next flight which was only some 10 minutes out.

One of the main reasons I wanted my girlfriend and I to do the tour was I saw they had the side doors opened during the flight. I asked if we could do the same and they said of course!

We boarded the helicopter, put on our headphones (it was very loud and windy) and took off.

Being harnessed in was a must as the doors being opened was a bit spooky. Especially when the helicopter would bank.

Although the tour was only 12-13 minutes long, we got to see The Gorge in a different way than we ever have. Amazing views of the river below, caves, a hidden aqua blue lake and more. Also, seeing our music festival from the air was a different experience as well.
