Prior to the pandemic, I sat down with Tim Lefebvre to discuss the effects that are pretty much mandatory for his pedalboard. In the process, the session stalwart – who played bass on David Bowie’s final album Blackstar – talked about how different octave and reverb effects can often spark the idea for a song, and which one pedal he simply couldn’t live without.
