Residents are moving into the newly renovated Lawson House. Walsh Construction joined Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Chicago Housing Authority, and Holsten Real Estate Development & Management Corporation and project partners for a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand re-opening of Lawson House. Walsh Construction is nearing completion of the $128 million renovation project that modernizes and preserves affordable apartment units. The rehabilitation of the historic 200,000-square-foot, 24-story apartment complex transforms the building’s 583 single-room occupancy units (SROs) into over 400 affordable apartment units with private kitchens and bathrooms.
