"PUROIK DANCE OF ARUNACHAL PRADESH"

'Gumkum-Gumpa', the major festival of Puroik Tribe and this festival is celebrated on 25th April every year positively.
This is the annual festival of them for joy and Prosperity.

Puroik Tribe is one of the oldest ethnic people of Arunachal Pradesh, North-East India, inhabiting and they have migrated from southern Tibet, centuries ago.

They are the ultimate hunter, as well as very hard worker.
Though they were being treated as a low caste in the society and called by 'Sulung' by the larger tribe i.e 'Nyishi'.

They lives in a small groups having 10-20 houses in a village on the hilly areas of East Kameng, Kurung Kumey, Papumpare etc.
And their some population can also be found in Tibet, China

Although, nowadays they are also getting well aware and understanding the basic significance of "Education" in the society.
