अत्यंत दुर्गम क्षेत्रों में निवासरत बैगा जनजाति की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी ना होकर कमी देखा गया है शिक्षा स्वास्थ्य एवं ऐसे कई योजना विकास से अगर वंचित रहते हैं तो वह यही जनजाति है जिनका मूल कारण किसी एक स्थाई निवासी ना होने के कारण माना जाता है जिनकी वजह से कई योजना का लाभ नहीं मिल पाता
रोजगार के लिए कुछ जंगलों के माध्यम से प्राप्त वस्तुओं से घरेलू कार्यों में काम आने वाले जैसे झाड़ू कला शिल्प पशुपालन यही रोजगार का साधन होता है
स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा के बारे में उन्हें जानकारी बहुत कम होती है जिनकी वजह से बहुत कम उम्र में ही विवाह के बंधन में बंध जाते हैं जिनकी वजह से स्वास्थ्य में भी खराबी देखा जाता है

महिला वर्ग - में विशेष रुप से गोदना गोदा ने की प्रथा है अर्थात गोदना के भारी शौकीन होते हैं विशेष रुप से माथे पर गोदना गोदाना बहुत जरूरी है क्योंकि जब तक माथे पर गोदना ना हो विवाह नहीं होता
पुरुष वर्ग- इनकी विशेष खास बात यह होती है कि यह जीवन में कभी भी सिर के बाल को नहीं कटाते बोलते हैं कि हमारे आराध्य देवी-देवताओं के अनुसार यह बाल मृत्यु के बाद साथ में जाएगा ऐसी मान्यता है
श्रृंगार के विशेष शौकीन होते हैं , महिला वर्ग श्रृंगार के भारी शौकीन होते हैं देश में कई प्रकार के वस्तुएं आभूषण धारण करते हैं
आर्थिक स्थिति खराब होने के कारण किसी भी प्रकार के सोना चांदी हीरा यह सब आभूषण से दूर रहते हैं

बाजार एवं मेला
बैगा जनजाति का विशेष मेला बाजार लगता है
जिसमें विशेष रूप से बैगा जनजाति के लोग ही मड़ाई मेला बाजार में आते हैं और यहां कल उक्त रहते हैं साल में एक बार लगने वाला है इस मेला में दूरदराज जंगल क्षेत्रों से लोग पैदल यात्रा करते हैं और अपने रिश्तेदार परिवार के साथ रात्रि विश्राम कर पैदल सुबह घर के लिए प्रस्थान करते हैं जंगल एवं पहाड़ी क्षेत्र होने के कारण यहां मूलभूत सुविधाओं जैसे बस गाड़ी की नहीं होती मेला में कई प्रकार के कपड़ा खाने के व्यंजन एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी देखने को मिलते हैं
