Here are the guys of Division 2 (D2) competing in the 2018 CIF-ss (Southern Section) Cross Country FINALS held on November 17 at the Riverside Cross Country Course. The course is 3 miles. Along with determining the Southern Section's D2 champion, the top 7 teams advance to the State meet in Fresno the following week.

Commentary: The two big stories of this race - the former D1 team that gets out from under Great Oak's shadow and the incredible season of their leader. Start with Newbury junior Nico Young, who accelerates out of the Mile 1. Hibbard and 3 others try to stay within striking distance but that pace was destined for a course record. Hibbard hung tough, finishing under 15 for just the 3rd time in his career. Also hanging tough was Defending Champ Ethan Danforth, who PR'd in 3rd. 10 guys broke 15 in this race.
