If you do not want to watch, read on the website: http://karczma.edu.pl/2019/jak-sterow...

In this video you will see the process of connecting the controller to Lego City 60197 and 60198 trains, i.e. two models released in 2018 (although I think that it is 2019 models). The new Lego City Train models are equipped with the new Powered Up system (known from WeDo 2.0) which communicates via Bluetooth rather than an infrared receiver. This system allows you to connect 10 independently controlled trains to one controller (the previous system served 8 trains).

The mechanism is very simple and its big advantage is, among others cooperation with the application on the phone and tablet. Here, I recommend equipping the trains with lights and even better, e.g. with color sensors, which will allow you to automate the train control process. Changing the controller and drive system with a new Hub with Bluetooth Lego can be considered a success. In addition, the infrared receiver and the problem of loss of control, e.g. when the train is not within the controller's view range, falls off.
