Welcome back to the channel!

In this episode I ventured to a lake here in Central Iowa with the hopes of catching some early fall largemouth bass. While it was slow at times, my predictions were correct, and there were a bunch of bass in less than 7-8 feet of water (due to the thermocline still be present below that). Water temperatures are still in the mid to high 70's but the fall bite has started/continued.

While I caught a lot of fish, it was tough to get one over 1.5 pounds. My best five today weighed 13.33 pounds, and all keepers were all caught on either offshore rock piles or brush piles using a crankbait (except for one keeper caught on a jig).

Watch as I cast a medium and shallow crannkbait repeatedly at the same target to catch these hungry early fall Iowa bass!
