Cheong Soo Pieng’s innovative approaches in artmaking have inspired a number of exhibitions throughout the years, each offering insights into different facets of his practice. Yet, comprehending the depth of Cheong's influence as a teacher, artist and trailblazer in Singapore's art history remains an ongoing endeavour.

This panel discussion gathers the curators of some of these exhibitions from the 1970s to the present day to discuss how the presentations have shaped and perpetuated Cheong’s enduring artistic legacy in Singapore and beyond.

The speakers are Dr Bridget Tracy Tan (Senior Director, Institute of Southeast Asian Arts & Art Galleries and Academic Advisor (Southeast Asian Arts)), Dr Seng Yu Jin (Director, Curatorial & Exhibitions, National Gallery Singapore), Teo Hui Min (Curator, National Gallery Singapore) and T.K. Sabapathy (Art Historian and Curator).
