The SEIU 721 Women’s Caucus is back! Check out our first event in three years, which was also in honor of Women’s History Month. With a theme of “Tell Your Story,” members came together to reconnect over dinner and dessert and plan activities for the rest of the year. The event was led by Caucus President Theresa Velasco and Kelly Dixon-Turner, who are also both on the SEIU Executive Board. There were special appearances by guests LA Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo who shared her story about growing up in a union family and her work in the labor movement. We are so excited to be back together and continuing to champion women’s causes. Women Strong!
