We like pickup trucks here on TestDrive, and so far the 2019 RAM 1500 has put itself right at the top of our list. But can the less-optioned 2019 RAM Rebel still stand out? We find out!

For our complete tour, review, and episode of TestDrive Spotlight on the 2019 RAM 1500 Limited:    • The Pickup Truck Benchmark | 2019 RAM...

Our quick tour and winter testing of the 2019 RAM 1500 Rebel goes over some of the physical differences between this off-road oriented light duty pickup truck and the top-end luxury Limited trim we featured earlier. We show off some of the exterior differences such as black painted steel bumpers, two-tone paint job, LED headlights, power folding mirrors, and 18" rims with Firestone WinterForce LT winter tires.

Inside we show off the vinyl & fabric mesh seating, Rebel themed decals and details, 8.4" Uconnect® 4C navigation system, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, and more. The orange/black theme is exclusive to the Rebel trim, and gives this interior a functional design that can stand up better to harder use.

We take the 2019 Rebel on a winter road test during a light snowfall, including some off-roading along an unfinished dirt road complete with potholes and fresh snow. We put the winter tires to their test in 4WD mode to see how the RAM 1500 handles in the winter and with snowy roads, along with what buyers can expect if they do plan on using their trucks off the paved roads.
