This is a series of guided meditations written and recorded by Brilliant Twelve students. You can find the transcript below if you’d like to read along.

"Hi, my name is Daisy and I'm going to lead you through this guided meditation for dealing with difficult people. You can sit in a chair or on a cushion with your back straight and comfortable, your hands relaxed in your lap. Start with your eyes open and take a few deep breaths, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. And now we find ourselves in situations with difficult people. Your angry and uncomfortable feelings are just feelings. Take a deep breath in and remember that the person you're having trouble with is just like anyone, a feeling person. joy are as real to them as yours are to you. They don't want to suffer, but they are doing a difficult thing being human, just like. You, just like us all, continue to focus on your breath, wish this difficult person well. Keep breathing and repeat these words, “May you be well.” May you be at ease. “May you be kind to yourself and others.” Continue to do this for a few minutes. Remember that you cannot give kindness to someone else without first giving it to yourself. So now, wish these things for yourself. “May I be well. May I be at ease. “May I be kind to myself and others.” (Pause). It's time to bring your awareness back to your body, back to your breath. Notice where your body is. Begin to roll your shoulders, wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you are ready, open your eyes to the world around you. Great job. You've completed your meditation. Thanks for sitting with me."
