The drought in Zambia has severely impacted areas where over 2 million people were already facing crisis-level food insecurity 😞. The failed crops and extended lean period are making things worse, putting more people in urgent need of help to reduce food gaps and protect livelihoods.
Zambia has one of the highest rates of malnutrition in the region, with about 1 million children stunted. This is the leading cause of death for children under 5, and the situation is expected to worsen due to the drought if we do not act now.
