Legendary Celtic guitarist Tony McManus with the third and final lesson in this series, this time on Robert Burns' beautiful "The Lea Rig". Again, there's so much to glean from Tony's instruction besides just learning to play the tune. Throughout, he touches on concepts that we can apply to our guitar learning that develop not only our skill set for specific targets, but also our approach to playing overall. Early in this lesson Tony advises that "learning the finished product is great", but that "learning the steps that get you there" can be more informative. And this nugget: "It's worth having the melody under your fingers without any accompaniment at all...".
And what a beautiful melody it is!
