Sharon Eubank makes a case for slowing down the frantic pace of modern life to find creative energy, purposeful acts, and sincere relationships.

Sharon Eubank is currently the director of LDS Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose signature programs include clean water, vision care, infant resuscitation, mobility, immunizations, family gardening, and emergency response. She is a former member of the Relief Society General Board serving 4 million women in 28,000 branches in 169 countries.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
