I made some custom bumpers a number of years ago that fit over the excess pipe when my dock is installed. This year, a new (and arguably better) crew did the installation, but nothing was labeled - resulting in some longer pipes not making it to the deep water sections. The result is some locations with no excess pipe above the dock line. Without the excess pipe, my slip of bumper won’t fit correctly. Rather than pulling the whole dock out and having it reinstalled, I thought perhaps I could somehow lengthen the pipe. With the helps of my trusty South Bend lathe I decided - Let’s give it a try!
