This is the new obsession of the immigration services: for a few years, marrying a French woman has become a common way of obtaining papers for a foreigner. Recently, in Meaux, justice sentenced more than twenty people. The men were Tunisians and all came from the same village. Their "wives" were randomly recruited from a city mall. She received from 5000 to 9000 €. But some naive young women are also abused: they fall in love, get married and are forced to divorce a few months later. As a result, the administration is more and more suspicious of mixed marriages and there are sometimes abuses: pre-nuptial interviews that turn into regular questioning, refusal to marry couples who are sincerely in love….
