In this video, we examine the transient viscous diffusion of momentum, exploring how the velocity changes over time between a stationary lower plate and a moving upper plate in a confined space in COMSOL Multiphysics.
We consider two cases:
1. Upper wall is moving with a constant velocity such as vx=vx0.
2. Upper wall is oscillating to the right and left in such a way that its x velocity varies with time according to vx0 = a sin ωt.
