Tamarack Lake rests 30 miles south of Philipsburg Montana in the heart of the Anaconda Wilderness. From trailhead to lake side, the trek is 7.5 miles of glorious Montana landscape! At only 2,600 feet of elevation gain over the total 15 mile hike, this journey is generally mild. I hope you enjoy this little taste of the Anaconda Wilderness to Tamarack Lake!
