An epic double surprise! Marlin and Jordan, the boys from ‪@AddictedFishing‬, are absolutely shocked when Mark Berg and his crew rock up to the Portland Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show in the USA…and surprise them both with a fishing trip down under! Marlin was one of our very first Fishing Addiction USA members to sign up, so it was a no brainer to bring him back to Australia to try out the incredible fishing experience for himself.

Marlin and Jordan are both seasoned anglers, but will they be out of their depth in Australia's unfamiliar waters and rise to the daily challenges set by our Producer?!

We begin by travelling from Brisbane, way up north to a remote location on Melville Island chasing iconic Australian Barramundi. We get off to a great start on the estuaries, where the Saratoga's (an ancient prehistoric fish) were absolutely prolific for the boys. As the days progressed, the fishing was up and down, except for Marlins' incredible Threadfin Salmon. Things get really interesting when we take the boys out to the blue water and get them acquainted with some other exciting Aussie fish species. Jordan lands an absolute stonka, but will Marlin hook any of the Queen fish blowing up on the surface?

After 4 days on Melville Island, our adventure continued on to Roko Island, part of the Torres Strait Islands in the northern reaches of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Things got off to a slow start, and at times we thought the fishing gods had abandoned us, but NOTHING would prepare us for the feeding frenzy ahead. It was absolute carnage on the reef: Giant Trevally, Coral Trout and monster Spanish Mackerel...with the tax man never far away!

In the end, both our "down under rookies" Jordan and Marlin, managed to complete nearly every challenge set for them....but who will get their ultimate "fairytale ending" on this epic Aussie adventure???
