The Van Gieson stain is the simplest of trichrome staining techniques and yet there are several issues to be wary of. In fact some of the biggest problems can occur after the stain has been employed. The three key issues covered in this video include: poor nuclear staining, poor collagen staining and damage to the tissue caused by poor blotting technique.
