The 2025 Toyota Camry introduces a new generation of the popular midsize family sedan, now offered exclusively as a hybrid. Retaining its familiar look but benefiting from substantial updates, the Camry's all-new hybrid powertrain is both more powerful and efficient, delivering between 44 and 51 mpg combined depending on the trim. The hybrid system, built around a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a lithium-ion battery, offers 225 horsepower in front-wheel drive (FWD) and 232 horsepower in all-wheel drive (AWD). Improvements include a quieter operation, smoother transitions between electric and gas power, and enhanced overall refinement.

The Camry's driving dynamics come in two flavors: the comfort-focused LE/XLE and the sportier SE/XSE. The SE models stand out with their superior handling, taut steering, and composed cornering, making them more engaging to drive. Meanwhile, the LE provides a cushier ride, ideal for relaxed driving. Both variants benefit from upgraded brakes that deliver impressive feel and response.

Inside, the 2025 Camry boasts a refreshed interior with premium materials, including fabric and SofTex pleather options across all trim levels. Notably, the infotainment system has been upgraded with an 8- or 12.3-inch touchscreen, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, along with standard wireless phone charging and ample USB ports. Front-seat comfort has been improved, and the cabin remains spacious, though the fixed headrest bumps in the back seats may cause minor inconveniences for child seat installation.

Safety is a priority with Toyota's full suite of standard driver assistance features, including forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and a unique Proactive Driving Assist. Higher trims offer additional options like front cross-traffic warning, rear cross-traffic emergency braking, and a panoramic camera system.

With its spacious interior, excellent fuel efficiency, and variety of features, the 2025 Camry remains a top choice for families, offering better value than many small SUVs. Pricing starts at $29,495 for the base LE model, with AWD available as a $1,525 option across the lineup.
