It's been a rough year for wildfires on the northern great plains. With high temperatures, high winds, and relative humidity in the single digits, this wildfire in Badlands National Park was sparked by lightning from an isolated thunderstorm. With it being on NPS land, resources were committed to stopping this wildfire from growing out of control, and I had to check out what the park looked like in its aftermath.
