Painting is a life-long journey and I’m still learning, which means that I still make mistakes even though I’ve been painting for several years.

In this video I forget to stand back frequently and let the painting tell me when it’s finished. Once again, I learn that you can’t rush the creative process even if you need to post a YouTube video.

I tackle two paintings in my garden series ( introduced in video ‘Abstracting my Garden’ ) each with a different outcome.

I also go on an adventure to see the Jean-Paul Riopelle exhibit at our local art gallery. His art was amazing, but the big and happy surprise was that a painting by Joan Mitchell, my favourite artist was included. She and Riopelle were long-time partners. I was beyond thrilled.
