VN24 - Sprockhövel / Germany - On Monday, about 16:15 o'clock, a 47-year-old bus driver in Sprockhövel turned right off the Wittener Straße, broke through the crash barrier with the bus and crashed against a tree. The driver was severely trapped by the impact. He had to be rescued by the fire brigade with heavy equipment. Because serious injuries could not be excluded to the driver, he was airlifted with a rescue helicopter to a clinic for further investigation. A 14-year-old and an 11-year-old passenger were also slightly injured in the bus. They were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals. The Wittener Straße was completely closed for the time of the accident. According to the overall circumstances up to now, the driver's health is responsible for the accident.
