Spent an October day fly fishing on Central PA's Little J. The conditions were your typical fall conditions-low and clear water. Staying below the fish in these conditions is always key. As well as, light tippet (7x) and single nymphing.

It started out cold but as the temps rose in mid day, the fish moved into the shallow riffles. The bite pretty much lasted all day.

The winning flies were a size 16 pink beaded Walt's worm and a new original pattern of mine in a size 14. I have since named it the "Jack Daniel's". The name has come from the term "whiskey" (Troutbitten's, Dom has coined this term for a 20+ inch trout).

Patterns always develop as we fish. Paying attention to them is always key.

Hope you enjoy and tight lines!
