this was a set of "lasts." this was the final time i played live with hijack, and the last time i vj'd live as well. though there were some firsts here as well, the most important being the first set of mine that was a majority cyte-- i had included him in a number of prior sets, but this was a big step up.
i played one more event with hijack in june of that 2021, but i personally consider this set to be my exit rather than heatwave2.

the finale was worth it, it required an odd workaround to work. the final track wasn't in rekordbox at all, it was actually loaded into obs itself as to avoid the timing nightmare that was the 9.18.20 camellia finale. i managed to cut several steps out but it still required precise clicking to make sure everything lined up with the preceding track w. the reaction was worth it all in the end.

now if i rewatch this i just have to try and avoid having an aneurysm whenever bacon types in chat.
