Simple, cheap, and effective power upgrade for the MN82... theoretically no reason you couldn't do this with the plastic stock transmission case and gears --- i think it would hold up at least a little bit.

Of course the MN 3-gear metal transmission has carbon steel gears -- i used a Traxxas 48pitch 12tooth pinion gear on 3.17mm shaft that the brushless motor comes with. You have the flip the brushless motor can over on the shaft and flatten a set screw stay on the pinion shaft with a dremel, and you have to drill a few creative holes in the aluminimum motor mount plate that comes with the MN Metal transmission. But other than that it was straight forward enough to make it all work... clearancing a few areas on the chassis for the Outrunner motor can to spin, etc.
