Enjoy our homemade donuts!

Donuts ingredients

2 cups warm milk
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
½ sugar
½ butter
2tbs yeast 1/2 warm water
Flour 6 cups ish
Secret Ingredient...

Glaze

1 lb powdered sugar
3 tbs butter
4 tbs corn starch
1 ½ tsp vanilla or maple
Add hot water and milk for a medium thick glaze.

Melt butter in double boiler
Add powdered sugar
Corn starch
Add water and milk

Instructions

Dough
Start by warming up the milk and butter together on the stove. Melt the butter in the milk.
While that is happening beat 2 eggs together with the sugar and salt. After that's mixed, get the yeast started. Yeast mixed with warm water. Once the eggs and stuff are beat. Slowly add the milk and butter while mixing so it does not get clumpy. Next you add the flour and keep mixing while you add the flour. Do several cups before adding the yeast into it. And you add flour until “it feels right.” Then let it rise until about double the size. While that is rising get your glaze ready.
Glaze
Get a double broiler going and melt the butter. Slowly add the powdered sugar and cornstarch mix into the butter. Once it's close to glazing the donuts add some milk and a bit of water to get the glaze to the right thickness.

Rolling the dough on a floured surface. Not too thin and not thick. Once its rolled it time to cut. Using whatever cutter you have. Get some trays with a bit of flour on them to put the cut donuts on. Let the cut donuts rise for a bit before frying them. Roll out and cut all the dough. Fry in oil and glaze. Best eaten right after frying. Enjoy!
